[citation][nom]MicEindr[/nom]I'm using Firefox cause I'm so used to the add-ons, but sometimes I feel it's just using too much memory I will interchange with Chrome.I'm still using IE for my development work. When I browse Chinese web sites, I will use Maxthon, it's actually very good.I'm interested to try opera though[/citation]
Chrome uses more memory when you have a lot of tabs open, compared to FF or even IE. Tis why I stopped using Chrome.

I use FF most of the time because it feels more secure with the plugins telling me whats going on easily and with no nonsense....
But however, I have just about all of the popular browsers out there installed.
Chrome is fast, but it don't run netflix atm(or is that fixed?)

[citation][nom]celpas[/nom]Using chrome on my 512kbps connection.Aside from privacy issues, honestly its the fastest browser out there.I have all the browsers on my PC and apart from chrome they all have a "laggy" feeling to them.Chrome feels more responsive on my PCAs far as security goes already have norton 2012.Speed+security-chrome ftw[/citation]

"Aside from privacy issues" ?!?!

You are aware of the problem yet you still use it ?

What browser do I use? I use them all, except Chrome. I am constantly having to clean Chrome off of our computers, with my users having no knowledge of how it got there. We blocked it on our firewall, and it still gets through. We blocked it in Group Policy, and it still gets through. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't break some of our internal apps, but it does, and Google keeps changing to get around whatever roadblocks we throw up. Any software that installs without user knowledge and seeks to circumvent group policy is nothing by malware in my book.

Norton? Yeah, you are most definitely NOT secure.

I use Opera, love the tabs management (Tabs stacking), the recycle bin is really useful, and mouse gestures have some flaws but it gets the job done and the most important thing for me, Opera is the fastest browser for slow systems, I didn't need benchmarks to realize that, just day-to-day use.

Another article on THG about Chrome catching up Firefox. That's a waste of resources.
By the way, what does the word "finally" in the title imply? The authors eagerness for
the browsers change in rank, or the end of his frustration, having to write about it again
and again until it happens?

[citation][nom]bygbyron3[/nom]I love Chrome but keep an updated version of IE with limited security and no add-ons for compatibility with primitive programs such as Battlelog, thanks Origin![/citation]
I use Battlelog in Chrome and haven't noticed any issues.

I've been running netflix on chrome for the past four months :)

i have been using firefox and chrome very extensively bcoz my work is content management related. My personal experience is that chrome is much more stable than firefox, its not like chrome is faster, it just works like charm and never bothers u with extra bulshit or hangs/crashes
Mozilla just need to make their browser stable, they lost all of it after the 3.6.3 version and now it is continuously crashing and slowing down w/o any reasons. So i had to switch to chrome, simple reason.

[citation][nom]resetrsx[/nom]Out of curiosity, what browsers are you guys using?I mainly use Chrome unless I'm having a problem with a particular site, which I usually assume is optimized for IE, so I use IE 9 as a backup.I also have Firefox, but it got annoying keeping up with all of the updates breaking my plugins constantly, so I don't use it as much anymore.[/citation]
Yeah, I pretty much switched to chrome for the same reason. I just got tired of it taking too long to start up and due to the frequent updating breaking plugins.

I use Chrome mainly, and FF as a backup (it doesn't work with a certain forum I visit). Just make sure you disable addon compatibility checking with FF and you'll be fine. (why isn't that the default though?)

ff8 no plugin problems even beta if you know how to make it not care.

i use chrome for multimedia because ff is chopy for me.
ff for everything else
opera for when im playing games and need a guide
and ie if any of the other 3 fail.

chrome uses far more memory if i use it like i use firefox.

Firefox in my opinion is the best browser due to the extensive plug-ins and community available... ad-blocker pro is a must for me and I find that most pages are coded and correctly displayed.

admittedly IE has rock solid stability and compatability with most websites I see, however I find Firefox has a decent the balance between the 2.

As for Chrome, I've tried the earlier stages and found it to be buggy, although admittedly quite quick, I really can't be bothered changing browsers again...

You should not be referring to StatCounter results - I have Ghostery and it blocks StatCounter, so its not accurate.
Refer to netmarketsahre instead - much more accurate, last time I checked, IE was at 50%, Firefox 22.5% and Chrome at 17%.

Have you even read Norton's latest review? Its actually the opposite of what it originally was.Even in AV-Test's latest reports it even beat ESET which is the lightest suite out there in performance.Your statement just shows how much behind the times you are.Norton is fast, powerful and most importantly stays out of my way while gaming.Besides it also has SONAR which is THE ULTIMATE PROACTIVE PROTECTION ACCORDING TO REVIEWS.What more do you want?

Yep, Opera has so many useful features, I just don`t know how we lived without them until now :)
When I browse in Windows Explorer I also try to perform mouse gestures to move around - t`s just that addictive!

I use mostly Firefox, but lately also Opera, more and more /I love the Dragonfly, helps me a lot/.
But again, does anybody takes in count that most people using Firefox use also script blockers and other privacy measures?

Stats from StatCounter. NoScript does not run StatCounter's web page code by default. So the data is invalid. Of all the FF users, how many are using NoScript? That is the important question. Guess we are shooting ourselves in the foot by not allowing all the statistics sites to get data on our usage.

Firefox is still my main browser. It has many things I cannot be without such as keyword search or the awesome bar. Chrome is my backup and IE is the 2nd Backup.
