Question Chromecast using 4g

Hi, I don't have a network at my cabin, and I want to stream on my television there. Is it possible for me to share my 4g signal from my phone and connect the Chromecast to it and still stream from my phone? This used to be a problem before.

Chromecast has a couple of different models so it depends.

You should be able to use your TV as wireless monitor for your phone. The tv itself will not be directly on the internet. This I am pretty sure is basic function of chromecast but I played with first generation stuff and never looked at it again.

The other method would be the TV itself getting the content from the internet using the chromecast dongle. This is more like a device like a roku does. In that case you would need to set your phone up as a hotspot to share your actual internet connection with the tv.

Maybe someone else knows more it used to make my phone so hot I felt it would damage it and I really didn't need to use the funciton anyway someone gave me the chromecast stick.
