CHS mode or LBA mode better for 250G HDD in performance?

Just bought a 250GB HDD. BIOS automatically set it to run at CHS addressing mode. I wonder which brings better performance, CHS or LBA?

CHS is an older format to adress hard drives
LBA is the actual format


Dont change anything! The bios should chose the correct mode.

LBA

Without LBA your drive could shrink to 127GB or smaller - you would lose half of its capacity or more!

CHS causes all kinds of problems.
