I'm trying to setup a wifi network using the Cisco aironet 340 system. However, my boss who got the system for us did not recieve the manuals for it, hence I do not have the password for the accesspoints. That means that I do not have the default admin logon for the Accesspoint. Does anyone have this (hope it's ok to ask). I have been looking all over the web for it (ofcourse ciscos online manuals don't have it)... thx in advance... It is a pre-used system.

There is no default admin console password. Well, unless that's something added in a recent firmware upgrade. Did you buy them used? Sounds like it. Passwords need to be set to be enabled and not by Cisco. Cisco always told us if you input the password and forget it that we'd be sending it back to them. We never tried to hack in frankly so I couldn't say how hard or easy that would be. We had a customer add and forget one time and we just went ahead and sent it back. Either get the password from the previous owner or get ahold of TAC and see what it will take to ship the units back to Cisco to get zeroed out.

Do you still have this problem ?

If you have 340's and only just bought them then they must be second hand.

Cisco does not have a default password and if you are seeing a password prompt then it must be configured by someone

If they are BR340's then there is NO password recovery but the AP340 do have a password recovery please see this link
