Solution
The CiT ATV500W Active 85 only has one 75-Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.

Any decent 500W PSU would have at least two or more 150-Watt (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Do you want to see the system go up in smoke?

Don't listen to these people. CIT PSUs are just as good as EVGA or whatever. If you are on a budget, go for it but if you have a little more money to spend I would get an EVGA or Corsair. However, they do the job. My 450ud is certainly a good bang for the buck.

This is 10000% false. Sorry. You are completely incorrect. CIT units are junk. This is a fact, not an opinion.

Have you ever used one before? I don't judge something before using it.

With a part that can destroy everything else you should judge it before you use it. Cits are usually made by HEC, but there are some generic rebrand, so quality is lacking. The wires are a very small gauge and it lacks connectors that a good 500w unit should have. It's not a PSU I would ever use or recommend someone uses.

Even if you have used a PSU, you have no idea the quality of it unless you have thousands of dollars in testing equipment. Sorry.
