This is kind of an emergency. I have windows 11 22h2 On a desktop computer custom Built and I have the Moment 4 update I downloaded a registry script to bring back the windows 10 taskbar. When I did this it crashed file explorer. I can't open it It just blinck when I click on the yellow folder I even tried getting into file explorer from the classic shell start menu which doesn't work either I think I was supossed to unzip the registry script first and I didn't do that. But now I need something a registry script anything that will revert the windows 10 task bar back to windows 11. Either it';s because I didn't unzip the file the right way or Its not compatable with windows 11 22h2 with the moment 4 update. This is the file I used
Fortunately, Windows 11 still contains old or classic Windows 10 Taskbar code and functionality in the shell for legacy purposes. By default, the shell or Explorer has been designed to use the new redesigned Taskbar instead of old Taskbar but by implementing a secret Registry key mentioned below, we can force Windows 11 to always use Windows 10 Taskbar in place of the default built-in Taskbar along with classic Explorer and context menus.
FUN FACT: The secret Registry key is UndockingDisabled which was discovered in MVP groups and feedback hub when Microsoft started releasing testing builds of Windows 11. The same tweak went viral on Internet on September 02, 2021 to fix unresponsive Taskbar and Start Menu issue in Windows 11. Although it was a server-side issue which was quickly fixed by Microsoft team but many people already shared this Registry key as a workaround to restore classic Taskbar in Windows 11. Fortunately, the tweak still works in Windows 11.
Following screenshot shows Windows 10 Taskbar restored and working fine in Windows 11:
I can't getinto the file to choose the undo registry ntweak to restore back to the windows 11 taskbar.
Please help. Maybe you guys know why its crashing file explorer?
