Question Question about Argb fan

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List of all connected peripherals.

Where in the case are the fans placed and what are their respective airflow directions?

Two thongs to know.
1. In such a fan, it really is TWO devices in one unit - a FAN, and separately LIGHTS. That's why it has TWO cables, and the those devices are completely separate electrically. So the fan running has nothing to do with whether the lights work.

2. The lights in those fans are of the original design for ARGB lights. There is a new version of ARGB called V2 (Version 2) that can do different things because they are built differently, The controller in your mobo for its ARGB headers is capable of operating those new V2 lights and very likely is set by default to do that. However, such signals can NOT control your lights. Fortunately for just YOUR situation that Controller chip on the mobo also has an option to change to use the older type of signals. You will be using the ASUS software tool AURA Sync to configure your lights. Look in that for an option to set it to control using the Original or V1 style instead of the new V2 style.
