I bought a laptop and it came with unnecessary bloatware. My questions are

1. If I burn a disk with the built in recovery tool, will it include only the OS or the OS and all my files? I know it will backup the bloatware also but what about my files?

2. Can I use the Windows 10 key that comes with it for a clean ISO I want to install? Both are same version Windows 10 Home. I read online that the key is embedded in the hardware and doesn't work on another copy of the same version of Windows. Is it right?

OP here. My last format was with XP. I didn't bother formatting when using later versions and now when I read online, everything is different. So any clear explanation would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

1. Only people, who have dealt with exactly same recovery tool as yours , could answer that.
But you have not even specified manufacturer/model name of your laptop. So - no one will be able to answer.

2. Yes, you can perform clean installation of Windows 10 Home, if laptop already came with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. You don't even need a key for that.

Thanks for your reply. Regarding the clean install, can I format everything on the HDD of the new laptop? I read that the key will be stored in the BIOS, so no problem with that in Windows 10?

And since the key will have been used for the OS copy that came pre-installed, won't it show an error when I use it for the clean install since that would be the second time using that key?
