I've installed Windows many times and never had so many issues. I want to clean install Windows 8 onto an SSD for my girlfriend but can't find a way to do it as the oem key is embedded into the bios and there doesn't seem to be any ISO's on the net other than for the Pro version. I located the key and when trying to create usb media it says the key isn't correct.

I considered just cloning the drive but Lenovo ships the OS with like 7 or 8 paritions and a ton of bloatware, and I have no idea which partitions are what and would rather start from scratch. Any ideas?

The key should be coded into the BIOS and the install should pick up on it automatically.

If you don't have a disc you can always try contacting microsoft and asking for a new product code so you can use the usb method.

Otherwise you're going to have to buy a disc or torrent one.

It doesn't say anywhere what version of Windows 8 it is, just says Window 8 but when you go online there's Pro, Standard, Core etc.

I know, there's no Windows 8 ISO's out there. Every time I download one it's Windows 8 Pro or 8.1.
