I bought a Windows 8.1 Lenovo laptop with a ton of bloatware on it. I want to do the upgrade to Windows 10 but I want it to be as if it was a fresh install with no programs on it. How do I go about doing this? Thanks.
you might want to upgrade to 10 first. then do the fresh install. maybe someone will pipe in to let us know if they windows 8.1 key will transfer right over to a fresh install of win 10. i believe it will.

Run the Get Windows 10 tool from Microsofts website. I ran it on a friends laptop this past weekend to force his upgrade (he wanted WIn10) and it has a clean install option which we used. it wiped everything, nothing from the old install remained.
I've read from several sources that you can create a separate partition and do a clean install in it without having to first do the upgrade. It wasn't that way initially, but MS fixed that with the updates they came out with last November.
