[SOLVED] cleaning cpu thermal paste with ethyl alcohol?

hello, i just cleaned my cpu thermal paste with ethyl alcohol 75>%, the one that is sold in an pharmacy store with microfiber glasses cleaning cloth, is this ok? i waited like 10 min before installing cpu cooler because i wanted the alcohol to dry, thanks in advance.

Should be fine. Isopropyl 90%+ is better as it dissipates quicker and doesn't leave a residue. But yours should be fine. Not sure what your alcohol is comprised off - as some have elements that can leave residue.

You just have to make sure that it is absolutely completely clean and dry, with no residue left behind.

Yes that is perfectly fine. Isopropyl alcohol is most reccomended for thermal paste removal.
It should evaporate quickly aswell.
