Cleaning sticky mouse buttons

Hello,

I have a Logitech G700s that I accidentally spilled coffee on. I soaked most of it up but I was in a rush and didn't have time to poperly open it up and clean it thoroughly. Now the 3 buttons on the top (G8, G9, and G10 if you are familiar with it) that stick when I press them (here's a picture). The internal parts still work, and I can still use the the buttons, they just stick and have a bit of a delay. Obviously this is annoying and no good for gaming. I've tried taking the cover off and dripping rubbing alcohol on them (3 times), but that doesn't seem to be clearing the sticky residue off of them.

I'm looking for ideas of other products or solutions to try. Perhaps a small drop of WD40?

The problem is that the coffee got into the button (which works like a piston). That's why WD40 came to mind, because it does penetrate gaps. Regular cleaning fluid doesn't seem to flow through well enough to clean the gunk.
