So today I decided to clear and recet my OC for my pc, and I tried doing that. I removed the gpu, moved the jumper, started then shut down the pc, moved it back, put in my gpu restarted and I got no display and my keyboard and mouse didn't light up.... Then I started panicking, tried re-clearing with and without a gpu, tried letting it run for different times, different monitors, and then back to resetting and clearing it. I removed and moved the ram, to no avail and now I'm trying to use OBG on my mobo to also no avail, and then restarting and then moving ram, etc. I use my pc really often, and I was wondering if you guys had any solutions. Thanks

Running a

X4 860k

2tb firecuda sshd
2+8gb ram ddr3
650watts gold evga psu

Cryorig h7 cpu cpu cooler
Corsair 400c, with 3 fans in front
Thanks

I knew it.

There are all kinds of videos on TRYING to fix bent pins. It's not always successful, and often a bent pin breaks the solder point INSIDE the CPU, where you can neither SEE it, nor do anything about it. You can try to get it straight if it's only slightly bent, being extremely careful, but I would not get down on myself if it doesn't work out. Usually, it doesn't. Sometimes though, it does.

Chances are much better in your case, being that the pins are on the CPU, than if they were on the motherboard like in an Intel configuration, so there's that.

Well, I bent them back with a lead pencil, and it fit back into the motherboard. TOMORROW I will replug everuthing and test to see if it works!

It went in really well, and thanks for the prayer, but I found a good steal of a deal for an i5 3570k, full atx mobo and 8gb of ram for 120. It performs 70% faster, it has 4 slots of ram so I can have 18 gb, and I'll have USB 3.0 and sata 6gb/s connections.

Yes, that would definitely be better than what you have now. Not sure I'd spend ANY money on a platform that old, so I hope it's a WHALE of a deal, otherwise you'd be better off getting a brand new Ryzen CPU, motherboard and memory which you could do easily for less than 300 bucks.

Plus, it would have a warranty AND more importantly, an upgrade path through 2021, at least.

But if you are happy with that 3rd gen platform that is 6 generations old and has no upgrade path, I won't be the one to argue with you.

I didn't realize that ryzne was so cheap, I was thinking of getting 16gb of ddr4, since I saw some 3000mhz for 120 and then I alreadhave a gpu, but I wl upgrade it, later so thanks!
Or I could spend 100ish now and get a better cpu more ram, to last me until ryzen almost completely edges out Intel, since itll work for awhile...

I dunno man. Obviously that's your choice, but for me, I'd rather see if this system you have DOES actually work when you try it, and then save the 100 bucks to put towards an upgrade that actually has enough punch for modern games at a decent level. Then, in two years if you decide you need more, there will likely be a Zen 2 CPU waiting for you and all you'll have to do is take out the CPU you have at that time, and put the other one in. Well, along with a bios update most likely.

Makes a lot more sense to me to put that 100 dollars towards a long term solution but I also understand wanting something now that can get you by. So, judgement call.

Well I disassembled and put everything back together, just same thing with no display but fans are spinning but quietly and peripherals are not turning on.... When I turned it off and then turned it on again, fans spun at max speed, then I press the reset or reload switch at the front of the case and it went back to spinning quietly.... This is with OBG, when I plugged in a gpu the keyboard and mouse lit up, but still no display from the gpu. With the gpu in and using the OBG there is still nothing....
