I have had the joy (and the very harsh discomfort) of using both Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional. I will not go into detail about my feelings on the latter of the two OS's, but I do want to ask, is there any way to get ClearType on a non XP system?
I've heard (but not tried) that if a Windows 2000 machine goes to http://microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/cleartypeactivate.htm, it's possible to turn on a sort of "fake" ClearType for Windows 2000. Can anyone verify this? My Windows 2000 system currently has no internet access.
Thanks.
