Question Clicking HDD off old dell

I have a hdd that I tried to boot into which was in my old laptop from 14 years ago. The hard drive has lots of family photos. I tried starting the computer and the computer would get stuck at the boot screen on DELL logo. I did some trouble shooting and turned out HDD, after pulling it and mounting it on an external drive. The drive just clicks initially and that's it, nothing else. Not recognized by anything.
