My 15-bs0xx laptop came with a 128GB drive, a SanDisk SD8SN8U-128G-1006. I'd like to replace it with a larger drive, preferably a 512GB SSD. I looked at the service manual and it fairly straight forward. so the question is how does one move the data from one M.2 SSD to another when one does not have a M.2 compatible desktop.

Do you have, or can borrow, an external drive? (of any type with 200GB free)
You'll also need a blank USB flash drive.

If you have that, steps to do this will follow.
