I tried cloning my HDD to my SSD with Macrium and the clone fails. My hdd has aproximately 200gb of data in it

Solution
You probably did something not quite right, or the source or target drives are partially inop.

Since we out here do not know what the fail error message is, we can only spculate.

But try it again...these steps, in order:
-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD...
Generally speaking the Macrium Reflect disk-cloning program is an effective program. More times than not we find whenever a user reports a problem with that program it's frequently due to user error in that the user has simply misused the program.

Having said that...there could obviously be other problems involved...

1. Presumably the SSD proposed recipient of the clone has sufficient disk-space to contain the total contents of the drive that is being cloned, i.e., the 200 GB you mentioned. That's right, isn't it?

2. The present HDD boot drive functions without problems, i.e., it boots & functions without incident. That's right too, isn't it?

3. And there's no reason to suspect your SSD might be defective, right?

So if all the above criteria are met you should have no problem cloning the contents of the HDD to the SSD and creating the latter drive as your new boot drive, capiche?

Remember that IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL DISK-CLONING OPERATION you disconnect/uninstall the "source" drive (your HDD) from the system AND BOOT SOLELY WITH THE SSD CONNECTED. Assuming all is well with the newly-cloned SSD you can reconnect the HDD as your secondary drive in the system if that's what you intend.

If the above criteria are met and you're still having problems with the Macrium program let us know and I'll provide you with detailed instructions on using a different disk-cloning program.

Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the original boot partitions, here:
