I have an older Lenovo w Win, 10. I have a lot of stuff on this really like the laptop. It works good for me. The HD is someties not recignized and I get the Boot menu screen. Sometimes it boots and works fine. It's been working for past month but I'm getting g the boot menu as it seems not to recognize the HD. If I want the computer to remain the can I clone the HD to.a new HD? Or Image it? What is everyones recommendations besides buying a new computer. Help is appreciated

Clone or Image is not a bad idea.

But you also have to determine the root problem.

Is it a dying drive?
Or something else?

For a full drive Image, I use Macrium Reflect.
The 30 day trial works for this.

Thanks, what other issues could it be? I thought maybe the HD connection, but they are usually on pretty tight and dont cone lose.

What do you consider the boot menu screen? Because if the hdd doesn't work it can't show a boot menu.
And if the boot menu is the bios boot menu and you can boot into windows by selecting something then it means that the hdd does show up.

Do you have more than one disk maybe? in that case at least bios could get confused and start from the wrong disk and show you a boot menu when it gets stuck.
