Cloning to different chipset?

I find out that sysprep -reseal some step helps to cloning master-image to
machine with different hardware. But then I noticed that cloning from newer
oem windows xp CD gives fewre chances
to deploy to different hardware than cloning from old oem windows xp CD. New
image, cloned
to different hardware, boots with "blue death", but old image boots
correctly. This means that
secret isn't in HAL, but rather in some MS bug. I want to know - which
wondows xp oem CD
is best to use for cloning to different hardware machines.

You should be using sysprep 1.1 not version 1.0
1.1 can be found in the XP SP1 deployment tools found here:
