Question CM 590 III - what is this "3rd USB" cutout?

This flat rectangle next to the blue USB 3.0 ? What is that/for?

So it's just a cutout and they chose not to do anything with it?
Or is it for user mod?

Looks like a standard faceplate used for cases that come with another USB3.0 or USB2.0 port. In the case of the CM 590 III, they elected to only supply one of each.
