I've made a hotspot using the cmd command on windows 10, on my rog laptop, my Internet connection is coming from my phone through a tethering software called klink. I've created the wireless signal and my other devices can find it, but I'm not receiving any internet on the other devices. I have sharing enabled through my main connection to the Microsoft hosted network.

Solution
First can your main computer use the phones internet connection via the tethering. A lot of these apps that try to bypass restrictions on tethering do not work correctly. Most phones natively support tethering without any added software....unless the ISP is blocking it or wants more money to enable the feature.

Next follow the instructions on microsofts site for ICS exactly. The options you are setting to share the connection are still based on this very old method that microsoft still supports.

Now for various reasons the network adapter that you see created for the tethered connection may not have the required sharing option for you to enable the function. I have not spent the time to find out why because the only way to fix...
1. Try to use network troubleshooter to identify and fix this problem.
2. Reinstall wireless adapter driver for test.
3. Try resetting TCP/IP.
Reset TCPIP and check if it works.
Follow the steps
a) Boot to the desktop view.
b) Open command prompt, right click in the left corner when the Start window appear and select command prompt (admin).
c) At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Note: If you do not want to specify a directory path for the log file, use the following command:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
d) Reboot the computer.

Let us know the status.

...be very careful if you are attempting to bypass a tethering restriction. Most mobile broadband ISP do deep packet inspection and can tell when you are connecting with something other than a phone based app. Some will not even warn you they will just send you a giant bill in the mail.

Solution

I've decided not to risk my data plan.
