CMOS Checksum Bad

Hello,

I updated BIOS for Acer MCP73T-AD and something went bad (I think). Everytime I try to turn on PC, I get "CMOS Checksum Bad" error. Only F1 button works and I can get to BIOS settings. But, again restarting PC... "CMOS Checksum Bad". I tried changing new battery, disconnected all hardware (HDD, USB etc), left only one stick of ram. Changed CMOS jumper. Even tried changing CPU, but no luck. Can't get past "CMOS Checksum Bad" error. I'm really out of options. Is there a way to downgrade BIOS version? Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Go into BIOS, load safe defaults and save.

Nevermind, I managed to fix it.

Downloaded this guy recomended BIOS https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Acer-X1700-MCP73T-AD-BIOS-MODDED
Made bootable USB with this ROM
Flashed it with AFUDOS
Now, works like charm and got more BIOS unlocked features.

You broke the BIOS and you can't fix it without a new bios, so you found the answer.
As for using mod bios' can be risky.
