CMOS Error on Asus Striker Extreme

Hi, i just bought a used pc to play swtor. When it gets unplugged I would have to change the time on the bios and the lcd says cmos error. What steps should I take or do to find out what the problem is and fix it? I've replaced the small battery on the board and it is the same.

- Intel Q6700 Core 2 Duo Processor 2.66Ghz
- Patriot G-Series 4 x 2GB (8GB total) system memory DDR2 800Mhz 5-5-5-12 timing
- Western Digital 500 GB Black SATA Hard Drive
- Zotac GTX 275 896MB DDR3 Video Card
- DVD RW Drive
- Cooler Master 550 Watt Power Supply
- Antec 900 Case (comes will all of the fans. Front fans have blue glow)
- Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooling Fan

Looks like it is resetting BIOS every time so check your new battery.

also be a sign of the bios chip is going bad. I would look at the bios rev of the mb and then re flash the bios to the newest one for that mb.

so im going to download the latest bios im running wins 7 64 bitso would i just download vista 64 bit as its the closest one???

looks like that last bios for your mb is rev 2002.
