Coaxial to Ethernet?

Can a coaxial cable used for optimum cable TV be used for/converted to an Ethernet for direct line to my router/ internet?
If so how.

To expand on what @Scottray said. Yes, you can use coax to transmit ethernet. But you have to start with standard RJ45 copper ethernet, convert it to MoCA then convert it back. You also have to be careful of splitters or other coax devices that may prevent the signal from getting where you want it.
