COD: AW Freeze lag after upgrading to GTX 970

I had a GTX 780 and never had any freezing frame lag (~0.5 seconds hard freeze every 30 seconds or so)

I upgraded to an Asus GTX 970 and I have been getting this. I havn't touched the settings at all. Max temp: 65C according to MSI Afterburner.

I used MSI afterburner to OC the card to 1200mhz core and 1900 mhz memory, but with the OC profile off/on, I still get the same problems.

3770k OC @ 4.3 Ghz
8GB Ram
240 GB Samsung SSD
725W Powersupply
Asus GTX 970

Also, to add I have been around 80-95% Physical Memory according to task manager.

Here's some advice, in the graphics settings in the game make sure the texture settings are on automatic and not manual and extra etc.
