COD Black Opp2 - PSA Phenom x6 - horse stuck

It took me awhile to figure this one out, thought I should pass the info along. For the level with the horses, you will need to disable 2 of your 6 cores (Phenom II x6). Haven't seen any posts concerning FX's thus far.

You can apparently go to task manager as well and set the COD executable's affinity to 4 cores, that didn't work for me. I needed to disable the cores in Bios (UEFI) for the level to be stable, and the horses to not get stuck.

Hope this helps someone save a bit of "annoying" time.

These kinds of problems (lack of beta testing) are the reason PC gaming isn't gaining ground to the console. Obviously gaming on the PC is far superior, especially if you have Eyefinity (love mine), but most folks don't have the patience. Although, it is nice to know once you've got everything dialed in and your system is exactly how you want it, your gaming experience is going to be way better than anyone holding a controller.

Its not a 6 core problem its a game problem...

I had the same sinking horse problem but Hexit told me how to get around it....you NEED to die BEFORE getting on the horse... lol

Do you have a Phenom x6? I killed myself as well as restarted the level countless times prior to hunting for the solution.

Until I disabled the 2 core, the horse would get stuck in the sand and I would not be able to dismount. Is that the same problem you had? If so, and no x6, then its really odd both of our completely non-intuitive solutions work.

Yes, I run 1100Ts..and very good they are too on all my games machines....

I had precisely the same problem, horse stuck, cannot dismount, I could even shoot through the damn horses head, but still couldn't get off....

The way i got round it is as follows....

When they tell you to get on the horse....you DONT , you run out into the desert and run away...eventually (30 seconds ish) it says YOU ABANDONED YOUR MISSION and you die....

It all works perfectly after that....

Extremely weird... I don't think they did a lot of Beta testing on this and I seriously doubt I will buy the next one....

Looking forward to Far Cry 3 now

Same here, the deal Tom's posted today about the Samy SSD and a free FC3 copy is pretty d*mn enticing. Who can't use an extra 256gb of SSD goodness.
