Hey guys,
Three days ago I've restarted my PC and suddenly all USB ports had stopped working. I have PS/2 Mouse and thats how I'm navigating through Windows. I have opened the Device Manager and saw that there's yellow exclamation mark right next to the USB xHCI Host Controller Driver. I've tried reinstalling, Disable/Enable used DriverEasy but nothing.. Also I've uninstalled the last Win10 update. I will be really thankful if you could help me.

PC Specs:
MB: MSI Z270-A Pro
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3200mhz 16GB
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700k
GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080

Do you use a USB hub? Do you have any old USB 2 devices plugged in to a USB 3 port on your computer? USB 2 devices can leak current back into the port, this can cause all manner of boot issues and USB hardware detection problems for a PC. In some instances the USB interfaces may become temporarily disabled as a result.

I'm afraid I'm out of options beyond attempting to run the sfc /scannow command from the command prompt on your computer. That will instruct windows to run a system integrity check, it is time consuming. but beyond that I can't think of another suggestion.

With a bit of luck one of the other people here can investigate /troubleshoot this further for you than I can :)

Hi. I had the same problem today with the Texas Instruments USB 3.0 XHC. I solved it installing one of the drivers available in the option "Let me pick form a list ..." in the right-click option "Update Drivers".

Hope this works to you.

Hey just wondering if you had found the solution? My pc started the exact same thing 3 days ago. I have reinstalled windows 5 times done drivers and even tested out a fresh install of Linux to no avail. My usb 3.0 ports don't even work in bios. I am getting extremely frustrated. My drivers say they have all been updated to the latest patches.

Windows can detect that there is a problem but can't help fix it. I have done a sfc scannow and that hasn't solved the problem either. I am on the verge of buying a new motherboard cause im running outta patience.
