CODWAW graphics bug

In COD world at war, i try to set my graphics settings to 2800x600 resolution but it just lockes up whenever i click apply/yes.
i can set my controlls ok but the graphics just wont do it for me.

Well I'm assuming you mean 800x600. What is the current resolution, is it playable at the current resolution, and what graphics card are you using?

make sure your monitor supports that rez. some lcd's wont go that low and will only go down to 1280/720... go into the monitor prefs in righclick on desktop/screen rez/advanced/monitor and tich hide modes that monitor wont support... this will then allow you to see every rez your monitor works at...
if 800/600 isnt there then its out of range.
