Hi guys my Call of duty World at War has been working perfectly with no problems and then all the sudden today i got this error when i clicked the shortcut, "D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaWmp.exe is not a valid Win32 application." Does anyone know how to fix this? Its a legit copy of the game i bought the game 😀

A quick fix would be to replace the .exe with one from gamecopyworld.com.
its not illegal and i know a few people that use the crack with legal versions to bypass the CD check so they dont have to fiddle around with media. In your case it would be okay to grab an .exe for WaW if you have lost the original.

Of course, as shiftstealth says you may have moved or removed the .exe entirely but that just gives a missing target error.

To check compatability mode you need to right-click the .exe

If you dont wanna mess around with .exe's then just uninstall and reinstall.

Before you do any of the above, do a search for AUTOEXEC.NT. There should be one in Windows\System32 and another in a 'repair' directory. Just copy from the repair directory to the System32 directory, overwrite if prompted. That error occurs if AUTOEXEC.NT is missing or corrupted.
