Back when I built my system a couple years back I opted for Gskill 3600 14 14 14 34 timings. They were pretty pricey and over a year later I tried to buy another set and couldn't even find any with the same tight timings. While not 4000 I think I will stick with them for a while.

Why do they bother with DDR4-4000? There are many memory controllers who will have a hard time hitting those speeds with multiple sticks of RAM inserted.

Just dial it back to DDR4-3800 and go for the lowest possible latency for maximum compatibility and lower voltage.

I concur, why do manufacturers put excess PCB when it's just empty space, such a waste of materials, packaging, and unnecessary shipping weight.
