YES - it could be done with USB 3.0 (5Gb/s or 625MB/s if you like), or USB 3.1 (10Gb/s or 1.25GB/s if you like). Good point. Deduct some 20% for overhead, but still it could be done. USB 3.1 has only ~3% overhead. Much better.

I also thought that it may more likely just ship with Gig Ethernet ports, and multiple users on, say 5 or so ports might 'share' a possible overall available 2G/bs of access. But I merely speculate.
