Question Command IQ can't connect to my router

It used to work but not now????

error says
" this router is already onboarded with another account. Please contact your service provider."

The router is a gigaspire gs4220e

My ISP does not appear to be cooperating to solve this.

Any ideas how I can advise the ISP on how to solve this?

Command IQ from app store? sound like issue with the app

Can you access it with a simple web browser. It likely uses 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 for its IP address.

Maybe factory reset the device and start again.

You really should not use any silly app. 99% of the people do not actually need to administer their router other than when they first set it up. Pretty much you change the admin password, set the SSID and passwords and you are done. You really want to disable most other feature unless you actually know you need them. The only feature most people are using is NAT and that functions automatically.

I would avoid using any kind of app some of these are cloud based which means someone on the internet could get access to your router. If you admin it via a web page and make sure remote admin is disabled.

The new problem it seems is huge numbers of people think their phone and loading some app is the only way to do things.

The ISP is not doing much to solve this. Looks like uninstalling command IQ may be the solution.
Waiting to see what they say.

Are you required to use that router or can you just buy your own. I assume there is some kind of modem or fiber box in the house that the router plugs into.
