Command prompt randomly opened and closed

I recently saw command prompt open and then quickly close. This rarely happens, and whenever it does there is a windows update.This does not happen at regular intervals.

I used the following command in command prompt to view task history and found this:
schtasks /query /FO TABLE /v |clip

Scheduled Start 10/03/2018 19:04:30 Ready Interactive/Background 09/03/2018 19:04:34 0 Microsoft Corpor C:\WINDOWS\system32\sc.exe start wuauserv

This was the latest task run at the time, although this was slightly before command prompt appeared, and the description says it's to prepare windows update. Is it possible that this is what caused command prompt to open? I have already performed malware scans with both Malwarebytes and Avast! which have turned up nothing, I have also not downloaded anything outside of updates to Discord and games on Steam. many programs opens and closed a CMD window echoing nothing in them, one I know is a backup software called ProBackup (mind you its corporate based) but sometime other program will launch a cmd command, and the programmers forgot to remove the window echo from it, why you see it pop up at times.
does windows update need a cmd windows to open, not that I never noticed.
