Hey yall, first time poster so sorry in advance 
Had an ATI Radeon (forget what model) that died on me. Went ahead and upgraded, bought a Radeon RX 580.
Installed it (and still had old ATI drivers in). Cool, graphics card worked. Powered on, fans are moving, HDMI hooked up to new graphics card, see picture.
Go to update drivers. Run the ATI Radeon update. Cool, asking me to uninstall old drivers and going to upgrade. Everything working smoothly.
Wait it just rebooted.
Wait the screen is black.
Wait it now doesn't detect the GPU.
Ok I'll hook up to the onboard.
Phew that works, lets go into Windows.
Wait its not listed under Device Manager.
Not listed after doing a rescan for hardware changes.
Not able to be installed after doing a complete reinstall of Windows.
What the literal heck is going on???
