compaq presario f500 worth upgrading

will buy 2gb ram the max this laptop will hold.thinking about buying 2.4ghz amd turion x2 CPU.and 320GB 5400RPM SATA2 Laptop 2.5" Hard Drive. for my piece of mind and stop dragging alone with PC.

You likely cannot change the CPU as it is soldered to the motherboard.

you don't actally seem to have a question but i'll throw my two pence in anyway: get a new pc. there is just no reason for upgrading such an old/low spec computer. you'd be better suited to save the mony for a new laptop. also what do you plan to use it for? for gaming, spend more money :/ sorry but its true. for email/web just get cheap cromebook or something similar. (postng from one now)

It is a laptop, so yes like 95% sure. I have never heard of or seen a laptop without a soldered CPU.

My friend i'm 100% sure that you not only can change laptop cpu's but video cards as well on some laptops just search YOUTUBE
