I have a Compaq Pressario sr1750nx an old computer with an old motherboard Assus A8AE-LE. It seems the board is not booting the hard drive even if its recognizable on the Bios screen.
Ive downloaded the bios update from HP with version 315.rom. I have a USB flash drive but Im missing the correct steps to run the update Bios files from the USB dongle. There are a couple of videos online but different steps according to different motherboards.
The files inside of the update are:
315.rom
Flash.exe
Installer.exe
sp35096.rtf (text file with contents of the update)
WBDEN44I.DLL
WinFlash.sys
So which of these are the ones, order and correct way to write them to run from DOS?
I saw some videos about extract the data from the rom file and change the name etc but nothing work, will be much appreciated for an answer.
