cant run compaq visul fortran 6.6 under win7

It will run in Windows 7 32bit but not Windows 7 64bit.

It looks like if you want to run on Windows 7 64bit you'll need to switch to Intel Visual Fortran.

Also, you might be able to CVF on a XP virtual machine. For that, Google will be your friend.
