Comparison between GTX 660 SC by EVGA vs R9 270

I have recently purchased the 660 SC from amazon for $180, and I have really only heard amazing things about it. Still I am not convinced that it was the right decision. If it helps, I have a z87 chipset in a mini ITX with an i7 4770k. Space is not an issue. I am open to any other suggestions that can beat the price. Thanks!

It's a little on the weak side, compared to your other parts, but it's better for your application than the R9 270. The 660 SC has a blower style cooling system, so it importantly blows heat out the back of your ITX case.

Well I got the i7 for a steal so...

I decided that I would upgrade video cards as soon as the new lines come out, I just need something to tide me over

Then, yes, the 660 SC is a great card. It should pretty much play almost everything max settings, no AA, except for maybe Crysis 3.

Anti-aliasing, basically reducing the jagged, unevenness of graphics. AA is pointless and not really noticable, unless you want your eyeballs consumed into the imagery of the game.
