I've looked over Passmark, etc., for the two cards I'm adding a link to below, but when it comes to variations within a series--for instance, a normal GTX as compared to a superclocked TI--the resource isn't very helpful. And I just wonder if these cards aren't closer to the same performance rating than the generic ratings listed with Passmark demonstrate.
Mainly, if you can get either of the cards below for $100, the 750 *new* or the 660 *used*, but in good shape, which would you go for, and why? I'm not a gamer, but would like a decent card, and would like one that has a reference fan to push the hot air out of my case, which isn't ventilated so well, but I'm torn here (my case dimensions are 14" H x 17" long). The one thing I'd be after is a good QUIET GPU, and I don't see as much for the 660 saying one way or another, whereas everyone seems to swear by the 750 TI superclocked card.
Really, though, on the one hand, the core and boost clock are higher on the one hand, then, on the other, the memory clock is, which I'm guessing is more important.
Thanks for your help,
G.
