Question Compatability

I'm planning on building my first pc and was just wondering if all these parts are compatible with each other
I was also wondering if I needed thermal paste. - thanks :D
The thermal compound is pre-applied on that AIO cooler, so you do not need to buy any more.

Those parts are compatible. That memory is listed on the G.Skill QVL for that board and the CPU will boot with any bios on the Z390-A to allow you to update it if you need to do so. I put an i9-9900KF on that board with the first very old bios and was able to update it with no issues.

As stated Thermal paste not required but always good to have a some available like the cheap and cheerful MX4 which always does a decent job..If you have not purchases all your items yet...then see below.

Yes those parts will work but it would not be right as you should go 10600K instead and to the newer Z490 motherboard which allows for upgrade to Rocket Lake in the future. The 10600K is about as good as it gets for gaming just fractionally of the 10900K when overclocked and is a full 6 cores and 12 threads. So something like this. Yes it is a bit more but ultimately the better route.

That M.2 drive is just a regular SSD in M.2 form factor so no faster than the SATA version.

For gaming I would leave off the 2 extra fans (no controller for them anyhow) and put that money into a better video card.

You can always add RGB latter.
