Compatibility Gigabyte P67A UD4 v 1.0 with GTX 1060

I would like to get a confirmation on the compatibility between my mobo and new GFX card.

I have:

gigabyte p67a ud4
I5 2500 non K
8 gb ram
850 watt powersupply

I used to have a GTX 570. It died on me a couple of days ago. I use a HD 4890 as back-up.

As i don't have the money at this moment for a full system upgrade i would like to get a 1060 3 GB to bridge another 2 years before a full system update.

I have update my mobo to version F5 but higher update wont install.

It appears that my mobo doesn't support UEFI so will a GTX 1060 work?

No way to tell until you try (or find someone else with the same mobo who has tried a 1000 series card). Should work in theory.

It's a bit of an expensive gamble. I hope someone has the same combination.

Little update.

I contacted my local hardware dealer and explained the situation. They said i could return the card for a refund if it wouldn't run. So i got myself an Asus dual gtx 1060 OC 3gb.

Luckily i won't be needing that service as it runs just fine!

So anyone with this mobo can get this card !
