Compatibility Issues

There are absolutely no circumstances that could move me to purchase a BIOSTAR motherboard. Need cheap? Get it from EPOX. Newegg has this on sale through tomorrow. Buy it!

That drive will work with any motherboard. The larger cache is better. Just don't end up like this guy:

I knew I was going to have problems when I started the computer and it would not POST. BIOS was blank, had to clear CMOS, got it working. No matter what I tried I could not get the front speaker output to work. This was my first Nvidia chipset and defenitely my last, very unstable, problem with drivers and did I mention I couldn't load the drivers on Win98. The least it would run is windows98SE. Requested an RMA for refund, and ordered Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394. I have no doubt that QC will be twice as good and support top notch not to mention stable VIA chipset. Thanks Newegg for great service.

I really wish I could, but I'm on a really tight budget, and the only way anyone has founda way for my mahcine to improve has been to spend more money.

Edit: Well, you guys know a lot more than me, so I'm gonna go with the mobo that's on sale for now. The problem is, I won't be able to even buy this stuff for a while, because it's taken the bank more than a freaking week to raise my credit card limit. They estimated 2 or 3 days. Grr!
