Compatibility of Parts

I have finished my first build and can't get it to power up. I am wondering about the compatibility of 3 specific components.

ASRock H97M Anniversary motherboard
Rosewill Hive 650S Bronze 80 Plus PSU
Radeon Red Devil RX 580 8GB GDDR5 Golden GPU

What happens if you take out the graphics card and plug the monitor into the onboard graphics?

Looks like I need a DVI cable to do that. I will get back to you once I have one and have tried hooking the monitor directly into onboard graphics. Thanks.

Should all work. Try to make sure the power supply is well connected to the VGA.

If it's still not working try to reset the motherboards cache. It can sometimes be an issue for fresh builds. The easiest way to do it is to remove the motherboard's cmos battery, wait for about 30 min so there's no more juice inside the motherboard and plug back the battery.

The battery is round and looks like a watch battery. Just use a screw driver or what you got laying around and pop it out.
