Hello,
i have a socket am2 cpu(AMD Athlon x2 64-bit 3800+) with a new am3+ motherboard that supports AM2 cpu(ASrock N68c fx) and it works only with ddr2 ram(Motherboard has ddr3 sockets too but cpu cant work with ddr3).
I now want to change my GPU it was an ATI x1300/x1550 or something.
I want to ask since the CPU works only with ddr2 ram i must buy a GPU with ddr2 ram?

And one more question does a 64-bit CPU or GPU has any problems with 32-bit windows7?

Thanks in advance.

Your MB has the PCIex16 slot so you can buy any GPUs with DDR2 or DDR3 because the GPU is depond on the Interface PCIe not the memory type.

For the CPU under windows system, if you have the 64-bit CPU you can install 32-bit or 64-bit OS, but if you have the 32-bit CPU you only can install the 32-bit OS. In 64-bit system you can use more than 4GB RAM.
