Compatibility - R9 290 with 3 Asus 22"

I am working on a triple monitor setup, which is something that is new to me. I have a Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 Displayport outputs. The monitor I am looking at is the Asus VS228H-P 22" monitor, which has 1 HDMI, 1 VGA, and 1 DVI inputs. My question is this:

Are three of these monitors compatible with a 3-monitor gaming setup with the R9 290 using these ports? Would the setup work with 2 DVI cables and an HDMI to Displayport active adapter?

Yes, the r9 290 can support up to 4 I think

R9 290 can support four displays. 3 Asus VS228H-P 22" monitors can be hooked up with R9 290. It is better if you connect all three monitors using HDMI, and 2 DVI ports. HDMI to DisplayPort active adapter can work as well.
