Hello,
I am currently building a computer for 3d modeling and maya 2014.
I am wondering if the motherboard I'm getting is for one, a good motherboard, and two, if it is compatible with my processor. I do not plan on over clocking by the way.
I checked my build on pcpartpicker, and I got 2 messages:
"Rosewill BlackHawk ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers.
"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs."
I don't know whether this is a concern, or its not a big deal.
My setup is:
Rosewill blackhawk ATX mid tower
Seagate hybrid drive 1TB
MSI 970a-G43 motherboard
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 with 2gb of video
AMD FX-8350 4.0 Ghz Processor
EVGA 850w Power Supply
G.Skill ripjaw series 16gb memory
Windows 7 pro
Samsung SATA DVD/CD rom drive
Sorry if this is confusing, I just want to know if this setup is good to go, and the motherboard is good.
Thanks,
