Compatibility?

Once again i have been trying to get the parts for my computer, but before i buy anything i need to confirm that everything is right.

I need to know if the parts are compatible to each other and if i got enough power on my psu as my graphic card alone takes 600w.


also, do the parts fit in my case? there is no description for it but it is supposed to be the best of the best right now.

Case - Cooler Master Cosmos II Ultra Tower

Motherboard - ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, Socket-1155

PSU - Corsair AX 850W PSU

Video card - Gainward GeForce GTX 580 3072MB PhysX

Prosessor - Intel® Core i7-2600K Processor

RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL10 - 2x

Hardrive#1 - Crucial m4 SSD 2.5" 64GB

Hardrive#2 - Seagate Barracuda® 1TB

You have a wrong processor. You need an 2500k or 2600k socket 1155. Your i7-960 is socket 1366. The best rig is with 7970 video card , it beat the 580 , even an 7950 overclocked beat 580.

And the 960 prosessor, is it outdated? i don't know which generation is the latest one so its hard to get an overview of the best and worst.

960 is outdated ( is socket 1366 , is a dead socket ) and is not compatible with your motherboard what have another socket 1155. The 2600k its a verry good option.

So about the PSU, will i need more power or is 1050W enough? and will the motherboard, videocard and PSU fit in the case?

If you don't SLI ( 2 X 580) an 750W power supply is enough for you build with all overclocked. The PSU and video card will fit in the case ( it's an amazing case )

What happends if i use usb2 cables from my mouse and keyboard on the usb3 on my case and motherboard? i don't quite understand anything about the difference then the speed.

They will work. Because USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0.
