i bought a dvd from the united kingdom and it would not play unless i told my computor where it was from. after playing it 3 times...my dvd player wont play anymore. says it needs a decoder
You changed the Region Code and now the change is permanent. You can try to update the firmware on your optical drive to possibly reset the Region Code. Or, you could install a new optical drive.
