Current component list:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX

CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core

GPU: nVidia Quadro K620 http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-desktop-gpus.html

RAM: HyperX Fury 8GB 1866Hz (Single stick RAM, potentially adding another in due time)

Storage: SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25 SSD Sata III
WD 1TB 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue

PSU: Corsair CS450M 450W Semi-Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply Unit

Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Solid side panel preferably for the extra fan spot)

CPU Cooling: Noctua NH-D15 high end air-cooler

Concerns:
Can everything be connected and powered?
Will it all fit in the case?
How will the two front USB 3.0 ports on the case be connected?
How will the case power switch be connected?
Is the mobo chipset right?
Can I use dual monitors?
What capacity power supply will I need? Online calculator estimates 378W. Should I use 550W instead of 450W so that the PSU isn't running near max?
Can I use 3 case fans and 2 CPU cooler fans?
Do any of the components stand out as unnecessary/outdated/easily and cheaply upgradeable?

Cheers

Solution
1) Get the fx8320 because you have a very good cpu cooler, Noctua NH-D15.
2)Get the 2X 8GB 1866mhz now, because if you buy other single stick later, there is no guarantee they will work together, if you buy the 2x 8GB the company will test them before put them on the market and they will guarantee they work.
3) Change the MB to Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ( 8+2), because it has more power phase count, which is good for the fx8 series cpu. The GA-970A-D3P ATX has 4+1.
4) All will fit into the case, I check the cooler, which is compatible the MB http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=68&lng=en#FM1_Gigabyte And the case can support the cooler up to 180 mm tall.

5) You can use the k620 with dual monitors, even up to 4 with the DisplayPort. http://international.download.nvidia.com/quadro/product-literature/data-sheets/DS-NV-Quadro-K620-JUL24-US-NV-r-HR.pdf
6) You need the fan splitter cable for the cpu cooler fans, because the MB has only one cpu fan header. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4TZ2SN8399
7) 450W will more than enough for your PC, but you can buy the bigger size PSU too.

Awesome, thank you so much.
Why the 8320 over the 8350? I would like the higher clock speed for single-core cad modelling on solidworks.
Thanks for all the advice, I would have never got the power stuff.
