It should work, but the memory will only be running at DDR2-667.

It depends.
Find out if your BIOS can go up to 400Mhz in memory. If it can, then, once the modules has POSTed (youll need some luck and relaxed SPD settings) you can set it to the advertised specs.

If your MB has the settings to allow it, you try it and see if it works. To "see if it works," you run memtest86+ for a number of hours to check for errors, then PRIME95 (one per CPU core) in stress test mode to check for errors. Most likely, it will not work (because then ECS would have marketed the MB as supporting DDR2-800). Bottom line: don't even try it, as you might get into trouble.

Hold it. I looked at the site for the motherboard and it says that it supports DDR2 667/533/800. Since it says it supports DDR2 800, you should be able to use that memory without a problem. You may have to specify it in the BIOS, probably not, but either way, the board supports it. Go ahead with the 800 ram and enjoy.

Well if you arent going to be OCing at all, you dont need anything more than DDR2 533 to run it at the same speed of the FSB.
Expensive RAM only prooves a very slight improovement if you arent OCing, definetly not worth the price.
